The Camburg 3.50 housing is a high-quality axle housing designed for off-road vehicles. It is built with attention to detail and uses strong materials for durability. The center section is made from high strength low carbon A50 steel plate, with a 3/8" thick faceplate and internal gussets for added strength. The housing is CNC machined for precision and features a 3/16" thick bash plate for rock protection. The axle tubes are made from 3.50" OD x .250w 4130 chromoly tubing, which offers strength and compatibility with various hub combinations. The welding is done in specific fixtures to minimize distortion and ensure straightness. Optional upper 3 and 4 link mounts are available for optimum strength. The axle tubes can be heat-treated for increased strength and surface hardness. The housing is custom-built to your specifications with many options available. It is recommended for lighter weight vehicles, hot rods, and pre-runners running 33-37" tires with lower horsepower engines. The housing features MIG welded construction, a CNC machined seal surface faceplate, a radiused rear truss, and a large filler with an aluminum O-ring cap. It also includes a -8 AN vent fitting and a 3/4" NPT drain plug. The 4-link setup uses 5/8" bolts at the upper mounts and 3/4" bolts at the lower mounts, while the 3-link setup uses 3/4" bolts at both the upper and lower mounts. High mis-alignment spacers are available for both setups.
