4.00 TIG Race Series 9" Rear Axle 4130 Housing
The Camburg 4.00 TIG welded housing is a high-quality and meticulously designed product. It is built to meet the standards of serious racers and offers the flexibility to accommodate Ford 9" or 10" 3rd members and larger TT axles and floater hubs. The housing features a 3/8" thick 4130 chromoly faceplate, internally gusseted 3/16" sections, and a bash plate for rock protection. The faceplate is precision machined for a flat sealing surface and the holes for the ARP 3rd member studs are machined and tapped to ensure proper fitment. The center section is constructed using 4.00" OD x .250w 4130 chromoly tubing, which is TIG welded in multiple passes for maximum strength. A rear truss with a radius design is also TIG welded for added strength. The housing can be heat-treated for increased strength and resistance to rock gouging. Optional upper 4-link mounts with 1-1/4" heims and an upper truss are available for optimum strength. The housing is built to your specifications with various options available. It is recommended for heavier weight vehicles, serious pre-runners, and race trucks running 35-40" tires with higher horsepower engines. The construction includes multi-pass TIG welding, MIG welded internals, and high-quality hardware such as ARP studs and magnetic drain plug. The 4-link setup uses 5/8" bolts at the upper mounts and 3/4" bolts at the lower mounts, while the 3-link setup uses 3/4" bolts at both upper and lower mounts. High mis-alignment spacers are available for both setups.
